A year after the commencement of my service in the US Army in 2016, I wanted to pursue another career in which I can pour my passion into. Needless to say that I wanted it to become just as successful and purposeful as my first one. I strongly believe that we must live life to a meaningful degree.
Without further ado, an opportunity presented itself: selling life insurance. It came as no surprise that this was another chance given to me to protect others as I have done for most of my adult life only this time it will be through ensuring the safety of their homes, health, wealth, and futures.
There was a time when flipping houses became so mainstream that I was considering buying houses at auctions. My kids were young back then and thoughts struck me: “What about the families who lost their home? Where are they now? What are they doing?” These thoughts were the advent of my work at Equis Financial. I was convinced that working with them is the right path for me because they represent companies that have life insurance products with added features which are very appealing to homeowners.
What appealed to me most is that you can get the benefits from an insurance policy while you are still alive! When most of us are used to insurance claims only after the insured has died, the products at Equis Financial allows one to avail the benefits if he or she is suffering critical injury, critical illness, or unable to work. After I joined the Army, I was able to purchase my first house in Tennessee. That house became my home and I completely felt how fulfilling it is to become a homeowner. It felt phenomenal. It felt meaningful.
